Tyvek® Soft Structure is a lightly bonded product with an embossed pattern, providing a softer, flexible substrate with the “hand”, or feel, of fabric. Yet it’s exceedingly durable and virtually impossible to rip or tear—because it’s Tyvek®.
It is a high opacity material with excellent whiteness and good surface stability that can be glued, sewn, and, to a limited extent, ultrasonically seamed and heat-sealed in fabrication. It can also be printed, although it is more demanding than hard structures.
DuPont™ Tyvek® Soft Structure is ideal wherever barrier, durability and breathability are required. It offers excellent splash and dry protection against particulate matter and provides an excellent bacterial barrier, as well. And its unique low-linting properties, combined with its barrier performance, make Tyvek® Soft Structure the perfect choice for cleanroom apparel in pharmaceutical manufacture and electronic device assembly.
