Tekgraf Centiv™ and DuPont™ Tyvek® Form Strategic Marketing Alliance
Companies Collaborate to Expand use of Web-enabled Digital Signage Solutions

WILMINGTON, Del. and VERNON HILLS, IL. -- June 5, 2001 - DuPont™ Tyvek® and Tekgraf, Inc., the world's leading provider of small- and wide-format Point-of-Purchase (POP) sign-making systems announced a strategic marketing alliance to promote the use of Web-enabled digital merchandising solutions in commercial and consumer markets.

Under the terms of the agreement, DuPont™ Tyvek® will be used exclusively by Centiv™, Tekgraf's newly formed interactive division, for all indoor and outdoor banners. In addition, DuPont will provide development and marketing support for Centiv's digital merchandising solutions as well as assessing the use of these solutions throughout DuPont. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Centiv's turnkey, Web-enabled POP merchandising programs enable companies to manage high-impact, customized and personalized signage for a wide range of applications. These programs take advantage of the Internet to allow customers and sales personnel to access on-line templates and customize high-impact messaging without the ability to alter the basic brand image or creative content. Instant Impact™, Centiv's in-store merchandising program, focuses on customized promotions that increase revenues, builds and protects brand equity and creates high impact. Through its Design and Production Center, Centiv also provides the back room resources to ensure shorter turn around times, while minimizing waste and eliminating excess costs. This creates a greater return on investment for corporate users.

"From the very beginning of our discussions with DuPont™ Tyvek®, it was clear that our business and marketing goals were very much aligned, and that both parties recognized the tremendous leverage presented by a Web-based signage solution," said Tekgraf President and CEO William Rychel. "This alliance reflects the synergies in our thinking, and will help enable Centiv to move beyond retail point of purchase solutions and into corporate, special events and consumer markets."

According to David Kee, marketing manager for Tyvek® Graphics, "The Centiv strategic alliance will complement our traditional sign and banner market channels and enable DuPont™ Tyvek® to fully utilize the advantages of a Web-based system designed for the rapidly changing needs of the POP market. We strongly believe that this business model and technology can also expand the use of wide format digital printing in commercial and consumer markets, and we plan to take an active role in developing these potential opportunities through the Centiv solution."

The use of Tyvek® in digital printing applications has seen rapid growth in recent years due to its unique properties. Tyvek® was chosen by Centiv because it is an ideal basestock for high-performance ink jet receptive coatings used for indoor and outdoor signs and banners. DuPont Ink Jet Banners made with Tyvek® are durable, tear resistant and withstand outdoor exposure, yet they are lightweight, flexible and easy to handle.
