 Appleton Papers Specialty Products is adding Ascent™, made with DuPont™ Tyvek®, to its successful Durables line of Avario™ Coated Specialty Papers.
Ascent is a strong, tear-resistant material that uses an aqueous coating for a bright white print surface and exceptional print quality. The material has high opacity and is compatible with offset, screen, and flexographic printing. Designed specifically for durable applications, such as tags, maps, game boards, book covers, and technical manuals, Ascent is resistant to tearing, water and ultra-violet degradation. The material is available in sheets and rolls in 82# and 105# basis weights.
Ascent complements Master-Flex® and Tyvek® in the Avario Durables line. Master-Flex is a latex-saturated printing paper that combines strength and dimensional stability with resistance to water, oil, grease and most chemicals. Tyvek® brand protective material offers extraordinary strength and resists tearing, punctures and abrasion. It is resistant to rot, mildew and most chemicals. Appleton Papers distributes Tyvek® for graphic applications in the United States.
